Victoria’s Custom Birthday | Del Mar | California

I have to say I just love my clients! They come to me with such beautiful visions and amazing stories. Designing custom stationery products is one of my favorite types of projects.

Victoria wanted to celebrate her birthday in style and it was so much fun to work on invitations with her. She had a Mid Summers Night-themed birthday party and no detail was overlooked.

One of the most important parts of planning an event is to have an amazing team behind you to make sure everything is perfect! I am so honored to have such amazing vendors around me to work with on events.

Victoria and I designed scroll invitations on rods with gold accents. We used purples and golds with line art and romantic text. I love doing designs that are inspired by classic themes and then we      modernize them to bring a little bit of the old feel with the designs. I sketched out a small line art fairy and had very loose and romantic foliage vines to give that garden/outdoor feel.

Once the scrolls were assembled I tied chiffon purple ribbon around each one and laid them inside custom boxes with the logo we created for Victoria. They were accompanied by an rsvp card with meal choices and return envelopes. The custom boxes were lined with ivory shredded paper to cushion the scrolls. Each guest was mailed a custom box to unwrap and officially had been summoned to this beautiful birthday celebration.

We carried the design into the day of products and decided to go with circular menus with each guest’s name at the top on a gorgeous white shimmer paper. They were laid upon clear chargers with gold beads and fake grass below them creating a gorgeous statement piece at each setting.

The design of this event was stunning from a whimsical light tunnel dripping in florals to a gorgeous outdoor dining experience with tall floral centerpieces and magical lights. This birthday was a one of kind and I was honored to be a small part of the details. Victoria is amazing and I had a blast.

When people ask me what I do for a living my normal response is I am a wedding invitation designer but it’s so more than that! I design wedding invitations but I design event stationery, day of event paper products,  wall art, wood signage, graphics for other creatives, and more. I am a graphic designer that loves to help create experiences and tell stories through modern, elegant, and organic designs. Being a designer in any way can have many different hats and I love to wake up and see what kind of projects I can get my hands on! This gorgeous birthday event inspires me to keep designing with my amazing clients and expand my potential in the design world!

Have a wonderful week!
